Schools & Colleges

We offer an interactive workshop suitable for Year 10 and above. The workshop lasts between 40 and 60 minutes and is designed for single classes. It includes a DVD which depicts a teenage relationship becoming abusive. We have worked with many schools and colleges across Devon delivering the workshop in PSHE lessons.

Feedback from Students

  • 'Good amount of information in an interesting and active way.'
  • 'It got people involved and to think.'
  • 'The DVD gave a good, clear message and I could see what was wrong'
  • 'If you get into this situation there are many things you can do.'
  • 'It helped me realise that people can get bullied into things they don't want to do.'
  • 'I know how I would recognise it and help a friend.'
  • 'If anyone I know or I get abused physically or mentally, I know how to handle it.'

Working with your School

Due to funding limitations we are only able to deliver workshops with assistance from the school. This can be achieved by:

  • Providing a member of staff to co-facilitate sessions with a Safe Project Worker. Training will be provided. This could be a teacher, school nurse, Connexions worker or other suitable person.
  • Identifying an appropriate sixth form student to co-facilitate as a peer mentor. Training would be provided.
  • Helping towards the cost of running sessions by contributing £30 per session.
